Lynnae Oxley grew up watching her parents’ kitchen garden produce the all-natural foods that went into their home cooking. Growing up in Florida, Lynnae experienced Cuban, South American, Creole, Caribbean, Jamaican, and Southern style foods. Her repertoire of foods went from boiled peanut stands and sweet Florida corn to spicy jerk chicken and garlicky lechon. Nothing was better than fresh okra and tomatoes from the garden or the backyard crawfish feed.Having experienced this huge variety of foods, Lynnae gained an appreciation for really good food and ambience. Checked table cloths and mismatched plates welcomed her into her neighbor’s homes as she learned tricks of the trade to improve her own cooking. It has now been 26 years since Lynnae began cooking professionally and her passion for food has not wavered. The experience of real food that you can see, touch, hear, and taste is what led her to her career and beyond. |
